See Completed Service Activity With Clear Definitions
Campaign delivery and advertising activity describe execution. Repair-order matchback examines completed service activity against the selected campaign audience and an agreed reporting window.
CPRO Driver provides VIN-level matchback reporting to help dealership teams review response, repeat visits, and matched revenue. Store, campaign, and audience views can support a more useful discussion about the next program.
How Many Vehicles Responded?
Count each targeted VIN once for its first qualifying matched visit in the reporting window. This identifies distinct responding vehicles rather than adding every repair order as a new response.
What Service Activity Followed?
Show total matched closed repair orders and later qualifying repair orders as repeat visits. Keep the original first-response state across months.
What Revenue Was Associated?
Report the revenue attached to qualifying matched repair orders. Clearly label whether the view is total RO revenue or a specific component such as customer-pay revenue.
A Report Your Service and Management Teams Can Use
Useful reporting keeps the campaign period, target audience, response definition, and repair-order totals visible. Where the source supports a breakdown, audience and store views help management review the program with the local service team.
Customer-pay, warranty, and internal revenue are different categories. A total-revenue figure should not be described as customer-pay revenue, gross profit, or incremental campaign revenue.
Agree the Scope First
- The full target population and any overlap.
- Mailing dates, response window, and reporting cutoff.
- The source repair-order fields and revenue definition.
- How first responses and repeat visits are counted.
- The campaign costs needed for any cost-based measure.

Questions Dealership Teams Ask
What is the response-rate denominator?
For CPRO’s cumulative distinct response rate, use unique responding targeted VINs divided by the full distinct target population for the campaign. Apply the agreed campaign definition consistently and show any material data limitations.
Can monthly unique-VIN counts simply be added together?
Not for a deduplicated campaign-wide unique-VIN total. A vehicle may appear in more than one month. Preserve first-response state and report later qualifying repair orders as repeat activity.
Does matchback prove incremental lift or channel attribution?
No. It identifies qualifying service activity associated with the selected audience and reporting window. It does not alone isolate direct-mail impact, digital impact, incremental revenue, or profit.
Can you report cost per repair order or return on ad spend?
When complete campaign costs and the agreed revenue and repair-order definitions are available, the report can include clearly labeled cost-based measures. Revenue divided by campaign spend is a revenue-to-spend measure, not a profit calculation.
